It was with great sadness that we said goodbye to Chris & Mike Blazeby as they stepped down from the Unity committee at the AGM last night. Mike joined the committee in 1977, some 45 years ago! We tried to calculate just how much the Blazebys have done over the years for the Unity, from shopping and catering for parties, preparing and marking numerous quiz questions to being responsible for 45,000 newsletters and the same in subscription mailings; they have made endless trips to the printers, folded newsletters, sealed them in envelopes, licked and stuck stamps and then posted them. We wish them both all the very best for the future and cannot thank them enough for their enthusiasm and commitment to the Unity over the years.
